Yard Update

Okay, I admit, it's not all that thrilling. But just wait until there's a playground sprouting up from all that dirt! I went behind our house for some photos. They only seem to illustrate the boxy-ness of our home, but oh well.

View of our house (on left) from the far end of the greenspace Note the derth of green or trees. I am standing on a trail that leads further behind me into the woods. We have all this space behind us, kind of like a big backyard. In fact, I do feel like it's my personal backyard that is being landscaped.

Back view of our house and yard, which only reaches to the shed. Rather, the shed is the leftmost boundary of our property, if that makes sense. You might notice that the left window is blocked out with foil, an effective blackout agent. We still have mostly daylight all night, although I notice it was a bit darker the other night when I stayed up late to watch Juno. (love that movie).

Side view of new trees behind our shed. All the dark dirt is the fill that they put in as our property was about three feet higher than the greenspace. Yes, I know it's a bit of a joke to call it "greenspace", but that's what it says on the plans.

Who doesn't love a photo of a rainbow? This is the view off the side of our deck. The road in front of us was built last year, and there will be houses all behind that lamppost. I am hoping they keep the trees at the left of the picture, because our living room window looks out onto most of it. I believe some of that is still considered the greenspace. In fact, all the land up to the trees is greenspace, and will be adjacent to our house.

Shane and Rachel washing the car. Rachel in her Sunday best of course.
